Biography

Annie Louise Erickson was born on December 19, 1861, in Karlskoga, Örebro, Sweden. She was the second of ten children. In 1879, her family learned about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Three years later, in 1882, Annie left her home and family to travel to Utah. She was only twenty years old.
A few years after her arrival in Utah, Annie married James Hans Olson, another Swedish immigrant, on March 18, 1885, in Logan, Utah, United States. They had twelve children together, five sons and seven daughters. Annie and her family lived in Bluffdale, Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1900 and Union, Salt Lake, Utah, United States in 1910. She died on January 23, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 85, and was buried in Murray Cemetery, Utah.
