Biography
Augusta Erickson was born on October 23, 1876, in Österåker, Södermanland, Sweden. She was the fourth daughter and the ninth of ten children. In 1879, her family learned about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and, in 1884, they left Sweden to join other members in Utah. Augusta was only seven years old. She and her family crossed the Atlantic on the steamship "Arizona" from June 14th to 23rd.
When they arrived in Utah, Augusta and her family settled in the Salt Lake area of Utah. She married Gustave Adolph Linden, another Swedish immigrant, on December 16, 1896, in Salt Lake City. They were the parents of three sons and three daughters. Augusta and her family lived in Salt Lake City for about forty years. She died on July 17, 1938 in Salt Lake City, at the age of 61.
