Biography
Charlotte Alena Lundblad was born on May 12, 1851, in Malmö Caroli, Malmöhus, Sweden. She was the third of seven children. When she was only three years old, her parents left Sweden for Utah with Charlotte and her two older siblings. They sailed on the ship Charles Buck, arriving in New Orleans on March 14, 1855.
Once in Utah, Charlotte and her family settled in Beaver, Utah. There, Charlotte met Joseph Simkins, who she married on October 18, 1867, at the age of sixteen. They had thirteen children together, four daughters and nine sons. Charlotte lived in Adamsville, Beaver, Utah; Maricopa, Arizona; and Circleville, Piute, Utah. She passed away in Circleville on January 18, 1921, at the age of sixty-nine. She was buried in Circleville.
